Hello out there-
OK, so I'm sitting in a 3 day workshop entitled "High School's New Face" and I have been assigned to attend the "Connecting the 21st Century Teens" workshop. We are learning all about wikis, podcasts, blogs, etc. from the "guru" of blogging-Will Richardson.
Ideally, I would like to be able to use this in my classroom. Yes, I'm a high school Social Studies (and Russian) teacher in Western New York. Primarily, I teach 9th and 10th grade Global History and after 2 years of instruction the kids have to take and pass a state exam on the subject in order to graduate.
How can I integrate blogging? Any ideas as to how to engage my students?
